"Path is too deep." when copying from WinXP to Server2K3

My Dell workstation is communicating slow lately and I'm
having trouble determining why.

The NIC card is set for 100bps/fullduplex. When i print
to any network printer, I get a print error.

When i try to copy a 231KB file from the workstation to
the server, I get a "Path is too deep" error message.
Copying from the server to the workstation is fine.

Any ideas??

Are the file paths the same? I believe there is a 255 character limit for
the path of your files/folders. Is it possible you actually are "too deep"?

If so, the SUBST command can be very helpful.

Yes, I'm using a LinkSys BEFSR431 Router and the two
computers are connected to two of the ports.

the file path the file is going to is "M:\TestFolder".
I beleive I have a WinXP system problem but I can't
determine what it is.
