Patches After Clean Install

I am running XP Pro (SP2) current on a standalone home use
notebook with network access via cable.

My goal is to build a file of Patches issued since Service Pack 2
for use after a clean install. Is the following workable?

1. Create a folder for the patches on external HDD.
2. Use my update history on the MS Update Site to identify
needed patches and the Download Site to download them
to the patches folder.
3. After a clean install: install the patches by date (oldest 1st)
before signing on to the network.

Hi Jerry,

I was afraid this might happen. But, maybe some good will come of it. I used
AutoStreamer with no problems. Found instructions, downloaded, and it was
over. I have been to the AutoPatcher site several times. Can't find
instructions, assume they are with the download. Can't download. I need
Lite, but Update, Full and Lite downloads all fail. I just tried again.
Thanks for responding.

Jerry,

Just tried AutoPatcher again. Made some progress.
On the Home Page I selected XP SP2 May 2006.
Next I selected Greggh for the download and was
successful but only the Update was available not
a Full or Lite.

So, all I need to know is when and where a Full or
Lite AutoPatcher is available.
