Patch 823980 / re-install

The patch for windows XP 823980, seems not to be
recognized while detecting critical update.

I came to this computer to run Windows Update and shows
that this patch need to be update on critical.

AFter installed and reboot, I run Windows update again
and scan for updates.
I realize that this patch still appearing like if need to
be installed. I realize also that it was installed
already today prior to my installation.

If I look the history, is have been installed twice today
and still shows that needs to be installed every time I
run the windows update->scan for updates.

Does anyone have a clue what is happening,

Same thing here. In fact, I've installed it now three times! I didn't
realize it until the last time.
