Pasteing from OneNote is Frequently Locking up Outlook 2007

When I try to paste text items from Onenote, it often locks up Outlook. The
email I'm composing appears suddenly blank, I cannot access other emails. It
finally clears about about 20 seconds.

To avoid it, I'm taking items into Notepad first. This is terribly
inefficient.

Any ideas?
