Paste Special

One of my colleagues does not have the options under paste special to past as
PNG or JPEG to reduce the size of the PowerPoint presentation. Is there a
way to add these paste special features to PowerPoint so she can paste using
these options?

Your colleague would be better off inserting picture from file instead of
pasting. AFAIK, there is no way to change the Paste Special Options.

I hate to ask the obvious, but did she scroll down to see all of the options
available? Depending on the image type there might be 6 - 8 options and
JPEG and/or PNG might be off the screen.

I forgot to mention, they are using Powerpoint 97 SR-2, they are pasting
pictures. When they use the option, insert pictures from file, this takes up
more room than copying the photo and pasting as Special using the PNG or JPEG
features. I have these options on my computer which I'm suing XP. I'm
trying to find out of these options are available in a Service Package or
Download for 97.

I don't think PNG was an option in PPT 97.

I dunno, but I think it was probably year 2000 or so before I started using
PNG regularly. I know I mostly stuck with TIFs in the late 90s.

It doesn't offer PNG and JPG as Paste Special options, or hasn't on any
installation I recall using.

They may need to size the images appropriately in an image editing program then
save as JPG or PNG, whichever best meets your size/quality requirements.
