password : Windows 2000 OUTLOOK bug ?

hi ,
im using Windows XP and Windows MS OUTLOOK 2000 ver
9.0.0.2711 and i cannot seem to figure out why it
requires a password everytime i send or receive email

i already went through the fundamental steps to do that,
but its as it the password is kicked out every time after
i save it .... this is more annoying and time consuming
than anything .

would someone know if there is an academic method or do i
download a patch for this glitch ?

I am using outlook (office 2000) and all works well. I never set up the e-mail however, i just imported settings from outlook express when i origanaly installed office. May i suggest you back up your address book and anything else you need uninstall outlook and reinstall, then use outlook setup to import your settings from outlook express.
