Password to access a folder in W2K?

is it possible to have a password to access a folder in
windows 2000 explorer (the way, we can have password to
open Word file)? Any help would be appreciated.

Win2K's file security paradigm doesn't rely on, or allow, the
cumbersome method of password protection for individual applications,
files, or folders. Instead, it uses the superior method of explicitly
assigning file/folder permissions to individual users and/or groups.
