password set to expire

Andrew

I am having an issue with Windows XP Professional SP1a
sitting on a W2K domain.

I have a user who's password is set to never expire in
AD, but still gets the notice that their password is set
to expire in x days.

It was my understanding that even though a GPO may be set
to reset passwords after 60 days, you can still override
that by having the 'password never expires' on the user
in AD.

Has anyone seen this, and any tips?

Thanks

If you have defined the maximum password age as x days in
Group Policy then it will overide the "Password never
expires" option. Also if your maximum password age is set
to "Not defined" at the domain level the policy or default
policy set for the same (maximum password age)on the local
machine will be in force as there are no conflicts with
the domain policy on this particular item.
