Password security

Ramesh

Hi,

Between Outlook 2K and Outlook Express, which would be the one more safer
for password security? Like to have nobody else be able to see my messages
without knowing the password. Even if they copy the files to another
system.

Thanks in advance
Ramesh

Neither is suitable for this in itself. I dn't know of any password
protection for OE's files and, while Outlook has the ability to
password-protect the PST, it's a weak protection. Instead, get an
encryption application that operates as a virtual drive (See
http://www.pgp.com/products/desktop/professional/pgpwholedisk.html#virtuald
for one example), encrypting and decrypting on-the-fly so that if someone
were to get your files, they wouldn't be able to access them. This type of
thing will operate with nearly all applications.
