Password Retention

OK, I have a brand new laptop, Vista Home Premium, Office 2007 Professional.
All
preinstalled by the manufacturer.

Outlook 2007 does not retain passwords right out of the box. I have to
re-enter the password every time I bring up Outlook to get my mail.

All the other questions / solutions here seem to be about older versions of
Outlook. Anyone got any ideas on this one? Knowledgebase is no help.
Manufacurer support is of no help.

I have the same problem and am on the phone trying to get it fixed (Good Luck, eh!) The fix for Windows XP is posted on MS website but does not appear for Vista. The XP fix does not work for Vista either. All my programs have the same problems and anyone with a fix would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem as what? Quote the message to which you're responding. Better
yet, post from someplace other than eggheadcafe.
