Password Protect Desktop, Want Disabled...

S

Scott Townsend

I have the following in the user registry key:
[HKEY_USERS\<SID>\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop]
"ScreenSaverIsSecure"="0"
"ScreenSaveActive"="1"
"ScreenSaveTimeOut"="3600"

Though the user insists that the timeout is 10 minutes and it asks for her
password.

That was the original timeout I had set up for the users via the machine
default user, then I changed the GPO to have the above settings. Some users
its working for, some its still got the 10 minutes. What Gives?

Thanks,
Scott<-

You can create a profile the way you like it, then while logged on as
another user with local administrative rights Control Panel|System|User
Profiles, select the profile you adjusted, Copy To, Browse to
%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\Default User
Change "Permitted to use:" to "Everyone" OK
