Password protect an Outlook message

I have an exchange server environment using outlook 2003 with several high
profile managers that have assistants that read their email and sort out the
junk, etc.

I want to send a message to one of these managers with a password so the
assistant cannot open it, I don't want to password protect every message,
just the private ones.

I don't know if Outlook supports applying a password to an individual
message. You could try creating a document (Word or PDF) and apply a
password to the document. But we all know how easy it is to defeat that
security. Or you could zip the document and apply a password to the zip
file. Still can be defeated with sufficient effort and time.

But if I were you and I knew my confidential e-mail was being read by
someone you don't want to share with, I would not use e-mail. I would
find a different way to deliver my confidential message.

Not possible. You could, however, each get a digital certificate and then
you could exchange encrypted messages that no one else could read.
