Password Prompt? Not PW Protected..... VISTA HP & XP Pro

M

Mcfly

Hola,

I have a Vista Home Premium Box (x86) and another PC that runs XP Pro (both
licensed legit) and when attempting to access some of the shared folders on
the XP box it prompts me for a password. This is unusual because it happens
only on some of the folders, and none of the shares are set up for pass word
protection. The XP box has NO password for login either. Ideas on how to
stop this annoying Vista trait would be graciously appreciated :)

It is better to setup password on both computers, especially Vista. This
search result may give you more details.
