password problems

Im using microsoft outlook,. Im trying to add an email account at yahoo.com
I type iin all the correct information for the imcoming mail server and
outgoing mail server but when I click on test account settings, I keep on
getting a prompt to enter my password and I enter it and the the prompt keeps
on coming up, enter network password why. I enter the correct password and
everything. Please help thanks
 
You can't use Outlook with Yahoo mail unless you pay Yahoo for POP mail. Use
your browser instead.
 
But how come I can add the hotmail account and not yahoo. I dont pay for
hotmail account. But why does the prompt keep on poping up saying enter
network password?????? Why cant i use the yahoo account in outlook????

Yahoo! uses entirely different servers with different capabilities. Can you
put your house key in your car's ignition and expect it to work? Why would
you expect two rival mail services to accept the same configuration?
