I have a wireless hot spot for laptops but have around twelve desktops that
are wired to my router. The desktops all run XP Home SP2 and the laptops run
whatever people bring in. I want to require a password for internet and
network access on all computers. I have WPA2 setup for wireless computers
but nothing for wired. What can I do for all computers? I read a little on
proxies but hear that they can be bypassed or difficult to implement.
Someone also mentioned security certificates but I have no idea where to
start.

There are probably other examples but that will give you an idea of what you
might need to implement your intended scheme...

Good luck...
