Partition image of Vista

I am a long time user of TerabyteUnlimited's imaging software (BootIt Next
Generation, Image for DOS, Image for Windows). Am I correct in assuming
that imaging the OS partition alone is sufficient as a backup image? I
don't have to also image the DELL Utility partition or the Vista recovery
partition, do I (they don't change do they?)

I know that I would have to image more than one if I were running a dual
boot setup but that does not apply to my current situation.

No, those partitions don't change, but one main reason that you image the OS
partition is in case of hard drive failure. If this happens, you lose all of
the partitions.

Of course if you have a solid image of the OS partition, on a couple of
different media types, the recovery partition could be considered redundant.
