Parallel port I/O

My PC's parallel port comes up with the Data Pins set HIGH when I start my
computer. Is there a way to change that so that the Data Pins come up LOW on
PC startup?

thanks,

Jay

That would be a hardware/BIOS setup issue, not a Windows setting.

Check with the motherboard manufacturer's web site (assuming that your
parallel port is built into the motherboard as they almost always
are).

Good luck

Ron,

I"ve already Checked the BIOS and the manufacturer's website. There is no
info about it. There is not setting in BIOS to change or check it. I guess
the first question is whether the data i/o pins should go HIGH on startup as
default? If so, Is there a way to change it?

That is something that is beyond my experience.

Here are some reference sites with regard to parallel ports that might
be able to answer your questions or show you how to resolve them.
