Paperclip shows with embedded picture - NO attachment, Outlook 200

My users are being confused by paperclip displaying when an email contains an
embedded in line image, but no file attachments.

This seems like a bug, since the in line GIF or JPG images are MIME
attachments but NOT file attachments.

This does not occur when the image is a URL to a web server, rather than an
embedded image.

Any workaround to configure Outlook so this does not happen?

Is it a faulty security patch, or does any one see a case where this is not
true?

Outlook 2002 CW with exchange, and Outlook XP with POP/SMTP services. I
belive it is a fairly wide problem with Outlook 2002/XP/2003.

When replying to an email she received from a known sender (Not a spam) -
she notice that the email she is composing has an attachment.
Opening the attachment, it contains files from her c drive

The problem we are reportubg above does not involve spurious attachments in
replies as you are noting. Just paperclip on original mail with embedded
images, but without Attached files.
