Pane Divider Question

Can I change the default position of the pane dividers?

By this I mean that when you open Powerpoint, you see 3 panes: the left hand
pane with all the slides, the top right hand which shows the current slide
and the bottom right which shows the notes.

The current default is that 50% of the screen is taken up by the left hand
pane. I now have to change it on every new presentation. [The VB property
SplitHorizontal controls the position programmatically]

I want the default to be something like 5-10% for the outline and 90-95% for
the slide/notes.

Can anyone help

You might get what you want if you go to Tools > Options > View and select
Normal - Thumbnails, notes and slide as your default view. Then put your cursor
in the outline pane and go to View > Zoom and set it to 10%.

Thank you for replying

I perhaps should have added that I'm using PP 2000. This doesn't have the
option you describe.

Sorry

One thing about new software versions - - they usually contain improvements and
some of the things that users request. <G> If you don't tell us what version
you have, from me you'll get a PowerPoint 2003 answer. So, my revised answer
would be "No, but you can probably get what you want when you upgrade to
PowerPoint 2003."
