Panasonic KX-P7100 laser printer installation

Hello group..
I have purchased a new Panasonic laser printer and cannot
get it to install on my XP pro machine..Was hoping
someone else may have encountered the same thing..During
installation of the driver, the computer finds the new
hardware, installs it, goes as far as asking me if it's a
local or network printer then as it loads the final
software the computer reboots..I have tried every way
possible, downloaded the newest drivers and cannot find
the problem. I am guessing it is a conflict with
something installed in my computer but how in the world
do I figure out what it is? Thanks so much! John

Is the printer connected to the parallel port?

I installed the driver fine, but I do not have the physical device. I see
that the software creates the KXP1: KX-P7100 GDI Port. There is an issue
with the driver if the user is not administrator when selecting Duplex and
N-up, but if all users are admin you'll not have a problem (once you get the
driver to install that is). Panasonic has been notified on that issue.

Can you please advise on the exact
steps you took to accomplish the install.

Did you use the drivers from the CD or did you
download from Panasonic's website???

Thanks for your help.
