Pages stall when loading

I am running IE 6. For the past couple of weeks, when a
page loads, it stalls out. I check my CPU and it is at
100% usage. I have since downloaded all Windows updates,
Norton Antivirus updates, a spyware removal program, run
various scans on my computer, but nothing seems to help.

The page will display, and will actually be active for a
couple of seconds. Then, when I try to do something,
like click on a link, nothing is active. After quite a
while (a minute or more sometimes) it usually finally
loads. But when I click to go to another page...the
waiting game begins again. This seems to occur on most
sites, but not all. The Microsoft sites seem to load
easier than a lot of others. Sometimes I even have to
Cntrl-Del it and end the program...I then send the error
report.

I have downloaded a Blaster patch and a Klez
fixer...niether was detected.

Ideas???

Any ideas??

Some parasites will do just that.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

and:

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.
