Page size = custom in Page set up in default file

Hi I am using Word 2000. Whenever I create a new document, the page size in
Page Set up is "custom". I would prefer the page size to be "letter". How can
I change the default?

In a new blank document, without making any other changes, go to Page Setup
and change the paper size to the desired size. Click the Default... button
