page setup in Notepad and WordPad

When I import a text file into Notepad or WordPad I have to change the
default font (to Courier 8pt) and page orientation (to Landscape) to get the
proper printout. Currently, although the default font type is maintained as
Courier, I have to change the point size and orientation for each file. How
can I establish my requirements as defaults for both Notpad and WordPad?
