'Page .. of ...' auto text in Footer does not work

The Autotext 'Page ... of ...' in the footer appears to work when I have a
print preview. However, when I get a printout, it prints as page 1 of 1 on
the first page, page 2 of 2 on the second page etc of a 5 page document
instead of page 1 of 5, 2 of 5 etc. Sometimes, it works on the first printing
(full set) and then while printing again the second set of 5 pages, it again
starts printing like page 1 of 1, 2 of 2 etc.
This forces me to just write page no in the footer and not page .. of ...
autotext.
