Page Cannot be displayed

"Page cannot be displayed" when in IE 6 WinXP with all
updates current on a dialup connection. Checked for
scumware and even built new computer that hadn't been on
the internet yet. Several different machines so it's not
a hardware issue. MiRC and MSN Messenger still works. IE
starts fine but after a few minutes it displays "page
cannot be displayed" and won't change unless it is
rebooted. Works fine when connected to a LAN only dialup
connection has problem. Different dialups tried too. Just
like pages are timing out.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

If you did not create the file, then you may have parasites, or you are
using a web accelerator program that would be causing this problem.
