Page Cannot be Displayed Error with hyperlinks

Hi,

Please can someone help me with a very annoying problem?

I am running XP Pro with IE6 and Norton Internet security as a firewall for
an NTL cable modem.

For the last week I have been getting an intermittent "This page cannot be
displayed error" with hyperlinks. Today I am unable to view any ebay pages.
If I click on a link I get "page cannot be displayed", but if I open the
page in a new window it displays correctly.

In addition if I click on any button on the screen I get "Page cannot be
displayed".

I have run Windows update, but am told there are no critical updates or
drivers to download, however,if I click on the Windows XP(14) link I get a
Page cannot be displayed error.

Can anyone offer any advice as this is driving me crazy with my work.

I have had the same problem for the past couple of

weeks, and don't have a clue. If you have any information
