PAE mode is on

Al

Somehow my XP machine is always booting up in PAE
(Physical Address Extension)mode on. I do not have
the "/PAE" switch specified in my boot.ini settings and
when I specify "/NOPAE" in boot.ini it still goes into PAE
mode.

How do I turn this mode off??? Something I installed must
have done this but I don't know how to turn it off and
some software will not run with PAE mode on.

Help!!! How do I turn this off?

What makes you think or know you are running with the PAE mode memory, even
though you have explicitly excluded it from your boot.ini ???

System properties reports under memory that I am in PAE
mode. Also when I run Virtual PC it reports that it will
not run because PAE mode is on...
