Could someone explain to me if the 850E chipset is Hyper Thread Support/ I
have read the spec's on the Intel site and it states that it is.
If that is the case I currently have P4 2.53 with out Hyper Thread Tech.

Question 1. Can I upgrade my CPU to a HTT support and if so which CPU 533
FSB or 800 FSB

Question 2. I can not find anything on the Asus site that explains this. The
only CPU that I found that have HTT are 800 FSB so I am confused about this.

I am doing a lot of video editing and I thought this would be a good
upgrade. If this board does not support HTT could you recommend a board that
will (as good as the P4T)

Yes, you can!!
I have the same board with a 3.06 HT, but you must take a processor with 533
FSB, 800 is not supported.
In the bios you can enable HT support then.

Look up your motherboard here. I think you'll want a 3.06GHz/FSB533.

Yes, this board and chipset do support Hyperthreading. However, the
only CPU that works in this board and that has Hyperthreading enabled is
the 3.06 GHz processor with a 533 MHz FSB. Be sure to upgrade the BIOS
before you change the CPU. To get full advantage of this, you should be
sure that you have PC1066 32 nanosecond RDRAM.

The 3.06/533 is the ONLY CPU that this motherboard supports that has
Hyper Threading.
