I build up simple conf based on asus p4s8x-mx mobo (sis 661GX chipset), not
too much components (sata drive, dvd/cdrw combo).
I went to the problems when I try to install ISDN PCI adapter, P-IN-100
made by Asuscom. Device crash down my system (Win XP Pro SP2 with all
patches up to date). Device driver is last official wdm, v373.
I try to reinstall few times, cleaning system every time, changing PCI
slots, disabling or enabling ACPI in bios, but no success.
Newest bios is on mobo.
I cant find any other solutions. It strange cause it very simple
configuration, with vga and audio onboard, without any other PCI devices.

Can anyone help me?

This Cologne chip HFC-S is one device used by Asuscom, and older
cards apparently use a Winbond W6692 chip.

Are the crashes to random locations in memory, or is a device
driver implicated in each crash event ? Does the crash happen
when the ISDN adapter is first used ? Or when Windows first
boots ?

Have you tried to use WinXP Pro original edition or install
just the SP1 service pack ? Maybe this is an SP2 issue ?

(Driver downloads. Don't know how portable these are.)
http://www.aceex.com.tw/test1/support.htm (both chip types)

(You might find more drivers here. http://www.modem-help.com )

No usuable drivers.
Unfortunelly, asuscom doesnt exist any more, and I will try to find older
version of driver, maybe it will help.

Anyway, thanx for fast replay and help Paul.
