P4S800D-E Deluxe - question b4 buying..

Thinking about upgrading my athlon 1.2 on an asus a7v-133 to a p4 platform
with the asus P4S800D-E Deluxe. Shopping intel boards with the 875 chipset,
but the asus solution has just as good (if not better) performance with the
sisTX chipset. And is also very affordable. Read many positive reviews
from professionals, now need real world input. Have always bought asus
product - still have a pII 450 on a P3B-F board as a file server. Thanks.

If you want reliability, stick with the intel chipset.
If you want economy and will only use the system occasionally then that
should be OK - up to you.

Second!
If you want economy, have a look at the P4P800 (Deluxe or not) models
and at reasonable RAM (Crucial/Micron, Infineon, Samsung; TwinMOS with
Windbond chips) - to be on the safe side.
Be aware that there is a "Rev.2.0" of the P4P800 and that Prescott
(P4*E) Support is provided with BIOS 1014.
