p4p80se - overclocking failed error, when i'm not...

Not overclocking.. But I get this error once in a while

I got the error on my P4C800E Deluxe, and also was not overclocking...
I figured it was a faulty board, since the southbridge ended up
burning out twice.

what causes these errors? anything i can do to fix it? A reboot clears
it up and it boots fine
or i enter setup and just exit, and it's fine

Swapped the PSU for a more stable and cleaner one on several
P4C800E's.

What BIOS?

I have a p4p800se and was using 1009. I have never gotten this
message before but got it this morning. There is a new BIOS, 1010,
which claims to fix this exact problem. I installed 1010. We shall
see if the error comes back, so far, it's fine.

Did you buy your CPU from a reputable dealer?

Sure they didn't sell you something overclocked and boxed as a higher
speed cpu?
