P4P800E deluxe power on from keyboard

I have a BTC9000 keyboard (acpi 1.0), previously with an Abit motherboard, I
could power on my computer from pressing a key on the keyboard.

I now have the P4P800E mainboard, but cannot get my computer to boot using
the keyboard, I have to use the switch on the case.

I have tried changing the sequence to spacebar, and ctrl and escape but
these also do not work. ACPI is enabled in BIOS.

Has anyone got a system to boot and what settings in the BIOS have you
changed? Thx in advance.

Asus boards usually require you to set a jumper on the MB to provide +5Vsb
power to the keyboard in order for it to wake up the system.

Thanks, that was fast and I will now consult the manual.

anc,

DanO is right... just change the jumper and it should work. I have the same
board -- just built a new system -- and it's very cool to just hit "space"
to power up.

Thanks, its on page 2-22 of the manual. You can also choose ctrl-esc or the
power key if you have a "multimedia keyboard" or even the mouse button.
