P4C800E-Deluxe RAID1 recovery

Does anyone know where to find documentation that describes how to recover
from a failed drive on a RAID1 array that was created on the P4C800E-Deluxe
using the SATA connections that are controlled by the Intel ICH5R chip. I'm
familiar with recovering or repairing failed arrays created with Promise
RAID chips/cards. It's fairly automatic with them. And it's well described
in Promise docs. But I haven't been able to locate anything that tells what
happens if a disk fails on an array controlled by the INTEL ICH5R chip and
how to recover from the failure.

I haven't had a failure. My setup is new. But I'd like to know what happens
and how to fix it if I do.

I have the latest bios, drivers, etc.

During bootup you should see the status of your RAID pair to find out which
one is flagged as BAD. You can hit Ctrl-I to stop the status screen to read
the screen better.
You can go to Intel site
http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/cs-010767.htm to
download a PDF file of RAID recovery procedures.

In my previous Post the Link I gave was for RAID 5 and NOT RAID 1. For RAID
1 all you have to do to recover is after finding out which drive is flagged
as BAD you just power down then install a new drive. Then the next power on
it will mirror the new drive with the running drive. You can monitor the
progress with the Intel IIA utility.
