P4C800-Problem with Gigabit LAN :(

Hi!

I have a strange problem here.
I use the P4C800 deluxe with a 2,8 GHz Prescott and Infinion RAM, not
overclocked.
Whenever i use a Gigabit Connection to the OnboardBoard LAN it will not
post. No bios, no beeps, nothing at all.
Afzter disconnecting the LAN it will still not post, i have to switch the
power supply of, make a reset and then - after connecting it again with
power and switching on it will post and i get the message that i have
overclocked too much and i can enter the bios.

When i use a 100 MBit connection all works fine.
The same Gigabit connection works fine of 2 other PC's.

Any ideas?

Best regards

Axel

Sounds really weird. Is the mobo mounted correctly? Has a screw dropped
between the mobo and case? Are mounting posts only in the correct positions?

Yes, all done. And, funnywise, when i plug the Gigabit cable in the MoBo
after WinXP has already startet it works fine with a 1GB connection...until
the next reboot...
