P4C800 Deluxe with Kingston HyperX PC3500

Hi,

I'm about to get a P4C800 Deluxe with Kingston HyperX PC3500. I believe the
exact Kingston model name is KHX3500K2/1G. My retailer's site lists the
module as "PC3500-233". I have a couple of questions about this memory:

1. Is this memory module a wise choice for my board? Technically speaking,
what do I get in terms of speed? What does 3500 mean?

2. What does the "233" in my retailer's specs mean?

Thank you very much,
Darth Elvis

It keeps we wondering why memory sticks are produced which are >400Mhz, when
you say that 400Mhz should be enough. I guess it's made for overclocking and
if so, what are the best settings for my P4C800 when using Kingston HyperX
DDR 434 MHz (PC3500)?

Thanks,
Darth Elvis

Yes, but even if you are overclocking you lose almost nothing by leaving
the RAM at 400MHz. These superfast modules exist so the memory
companies can squueze money out of people who don't know any better.

400MHz, 2-3-3-7.
