P4C800 Deluxe BIOS 1004.005
Ok,I have the really old BIOS version.
And I need to know how to flash this thing without winding up with a nice
paper wait..
I tried using the the P4C81006.exe on a floppy and booting to the floppy and
typing this command.
but when I do I get an error and it says I need the AFODOS.exe..
I was told I did not need this for flashing to the 1006 version...So now I
am wondering if I can just skip this and go strait to the latest version
P4C81010 ?
If so,what is the sure fire way to flash with to this version?
Thanks.

Download P4C81010.zip from here:

Download AFODOS.exe from here:
http://www.asus.com.tw/support/download/item.aspx?ModelName=P4C800 Deluxe

Place a floppy in the drive. Open Windows Explorer and right click on your
A: drive. Choose Format>>Create an MS-DOS startup disk. Make one. Browse A:
and delete autoexec.bat and config.sys.
Now, unzip P4C81010.zip and copy P4C81010.ROM to the floppy. Do the same
with AFODOS.exe
Enter the BIOS and set the floppy drive as the first boot device. Place your
floppy in the drive and reboot.
At the A:\ prompt type afodos.exe and follow all prompts from there. If
you have a UPS at home, plug your machine into it. A power failure at this
point will create a $200 paper weight.

Seeings how I am flashing from a very early BIOS version..Do I need to flash
the Boot Block and ESCD also? Or is this not needed?
In what case would I need to Flash the Boot Block.
