Overheating 3d card

Hi all I have a rig only a few months old I searched for the parts new from
the shops and got it assembled professionaly, I have :

3D card - Geforce 9800 GTX+
PC case - Ultrix Atrix AT9006

The case is here -
http://www.unitekworld.com/product_nei.asp?childID=&productID=213
the one as above is very close to what I have except for the size of the fan
at the back mine is bigger.
Im having overheating problem with my 3d card, the case temp gets to 55
Degree C for my 3d card and beeps but that is with hardley any usage, the
wire that gets the temp for the case is in a good spot, I have even
installed a new fan on the side of the case just where the 3d card is and I
still get a warning for heat of the 3d card. should I set the warning temp
to more than 55 degree C (is that safe?) or am I missing something? Or is my
case not good for heat dispersion? If so what is a good case

Overall I have a big fan at the back sucking out the air and one on the side
blowing air on the 3d card.

GK :)

You've set the temperature warning WAY too low. Silicon doesn't get
damaged until at least 80C so I'd be setting the warning at 75C.

Could be the GPU may benefit from a HS/Fan replacement. Bit of
research into any papers accompanying the unit, or experiences of
others using the card. Is it a chip that's sold into various venues
for OEM production, and could that involve cost-cutting
considerations, such as cooling. Being a processor, in its own way a
CPU, I'd tend to regard it as such;- and I do prefer lower
temperatures.

Thanks Conor dose anyone know how to set the temp to 75 C on the LCD pannel?
also I think the highest the temp can be set to is only 65 C !

Is this correct?
