Outlook's GUI should be multi-threaded

When outlook sends/receives email, any Outlook windows that are open remain
hung until the send/receive process has completed. On slow connections or
when large files are uploaded/downloaded, the user is inconvenienced by not
having control of even the mouse in order to accomplish some other task.
