Outlook2003 email crashes with junkmail

S

scooter3024

I am running windows XP, Outlook 2003 and Norton Internet
Security/Systemworks. When I receive emails, I get a few
(same) repeated emails and then it gives me the following
error message:
"Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection
to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues,
contact your server administrator or Internet service
provider (ISP). The server responded: +OK'"

Any ideas on a solution would be greatfully appreciated!

Try recreating your mail profile;
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles...

This is especially true when you did an upgrade or install on a machine that
already has a previous version f Outlook installed.

.
I am having the same problem. When you say "recreate
the profile" do you mean to just delete the email account
and recreate or something more indepth.
Thanks,
Doug

Post shows message unavailable. If you have more info I
would certainly be interested. This problem is
persistant since loading 2003. I am not sure how to
recreate the profile but can certainly re-establish the
account. Please let me know (e-mail address removed)
Thanks, Doug

Hi Doug,

You can remove and recreate the profile by following the instructions below.
Do NOT use the Copy button or you simply copy your problem to a new profile
;-)

Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles...-> button Remove-> button
Yes-> button Add...

Regards,
