Outlook XP to Outlook Live Conversion

i had outlook and used for several pop3 accts and sync with Pocket PC with
Activesync. I have now upgraded to Outlook Live and added hotmail account.
My default calendar is the local calendar and not the hotmail calendar for
the active sync. I cut/paste my local calendar to hotmail and now do not
need the orginal local calendar but cannot remove or force activesync to sync
with it. same for concacts/notes.
