Outlook XP and country codes

I am having a problem when adding new phone numbers to Outlook XP. It
is automatically adding +1 (the country code) to every number. I have
ensured that my dialing preferences has the correct area code and the
US set as my country. I have also checked that the "Add the country
code" box is UNchecked in the Dialing options dialog box.

Any suggestions on how to stop it from adding the +1 to every number?

No. That's very strange. Once you disable the option to add the country code
to local numbers, I've never seen the behavior continue. Are you sure your
country and dialing locations are all correct? Have you tried creating a new
profile to see if the behavior continues?
