Outlook won't start "the information store could not be opened"

I have an Outlook 2007 installation on a new PC. I tried to set it up
with my local Exchange settings, but apparently I'm supposed to use
IMAP, so I couldn't connect.

Now when it starts, it tells me that there are some setting problems
and that I should create a new profile. Then it says "Cannot open your
default Email folders", gvies the above error message and then closes.

Obviously I need a new default profile, which I would create, if I
could get it started :)

Any ideas?
