Outlook will receive but won't send beyond the SBCGLOBAL.NET serve

I will receive anything coming in.
I can send messages to myself through SBC
I can't send out to other servers.
I am confident that I have the propper smpt smpt.sbcglobal.yahoo.com
SBC works fine both ways.
It only appears to be the outlook side.
The outgoing smpt is on 25 SBC has said they have set it to allow it.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you get any type of error messages when sending mail? (About the only
thing I can find for SBC DSL is that you have to authenticate to the SMTP
server is order to send. See
http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/sbc/dsl/mail/pop/pop-11.html for additional
information. U can use the Outlook 2002 steps for Outlook 2003.)

I read this again, and you could have also meant that you can't send mail

That should be smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com

That's the correct port.

Are you properly authenticating to the outgoing server? SBC Yahoo! requires
it. Open your account properties pages and select the Outgoing Server tab.
Put a check in the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" box.
