Outlook very slow receiving emails now.

Outlook 2003 has come to an almost standstill receiving emails. It used to
take 30 to 60 seconds to receive 40 to 80 emails over four accounts. Now it
is taking about 10 to 15 seconds per email.
I am on cable and there does not seem to be any slow down with the network
or internet in general.

NOD32 and it has never been a factor. This just started in the last few
days.
Everything else on the system is running normal.

What if you temporarily disable NOD32 and see if it makes a difference.
Maybe they've released an update in the last few days that caused a problem?

You might also try downloading one account at a time and see if any
particular account is causing the issue.

Will try to disable NOD32. All accounts act the same. I can watch them
download one at a time.

In the past there were occasionally issues with downloading multiple
accounts sequentially. Humor me and try initiating a download of just a
single account and see if it makes any difference.
