Outlook - unable to create folder - why?

I want to organise and create subfolders within folders in Outlook. I created
a few but now everytime I go to create a new folder it says "unable to create
the folder" Please help!!
 
I am trying to create subfolders within inbox & sent items. For example I
have created a meetings folder that I would like to separate by individual
meetings. It allowed me to create one folder under my meetings folders but no
others. I have also tried to do the same within the inbox folder. It allowed
me to create three subfolders but won't let me create any more :-(
 
I am having exactly the same problem so any information would be appreciated.
I cannot create sub-folders in any of my folders and have no idea why this
has suddenly hapened when it was working fine before
 
So do I. Same problem. And the "funny" thing is that I have not changed any
settings. The only hint I have is that I had first tried to create a folder
with a name that may have contained non-allowed characters (i.e. "é"). So
then when it said "Unable to create folder" I thought, OK, my mistake, and
tried a folder name "LSCD", which should have worked just fine. But no, the
error message has been reappearing ever since. No new boot-up helped, and I
am at a loss here.

Could anyone pls provide a solution? I´d very much appreciate it.
