Outlook unable to connect incoming e-mail server. What's wrong?

I cannot receive nor send email. Receive an eror:Outlook unable to connect to
incoming (POP3)email server. Why is this happening?

Check your account settings against what your ISP gave you in whatever
version of Outlook you are using.

Hi Milly,
I am having the same problem: unable to send or recieve mail. I have gone
into the acount settings and made sure they are correct. In fact, the same
account settings work fine on my laptop, but no longer work on my desktop. My
ISP is Verizon (DSL).
