Outlook turns holidays and birthday's into 2-day events?

I recently moved from EST to CST. I don't know if that has any bearing on the
subject, however, all of my birthday's and holidays show up over a 2-day
period instead of 1 day. The time stamp on the occasion says 1:00 AM - 1:00
AM if I open up the single event, but if I open up the series it says 12:00
AM to 12 AM. Has anyone ever seen this or heard of this? And, how do I fix
it?? Help please!

Thanks

That worked like a charm. I would say it corrected 90% of the errors. THe
remaining may be ones I have tampered with trying to figure out what was
going on. Thank so much! I was getting dizzy reading all of the duplicates!

The link Roady provided solved the problem. Sorry you had to go in manually
to fix. You may want to download his link incase you ever change in the
future. I know I will be so it should come in handy when I move again.

I think it would be helpful for MS to have a holiday/birthday "all day" event
that would not show times at all so you didn't have to worry about time zones
etc.

I travelled to Australia from the States and after resetting my computer for
Sydney Time it stretched all my appointment dates in Outlook, stretching them
across a day and adding two little clock symbols at the end of each. It made
quite a mess of my schedules. I only use Outlook for appointments and
engagements.

I tried to clean it up using Tzmove.exe. After installing it as suggested
it first asked me to make Outlook my default mail site. I did this and
double clicked tzmove.exe again and a "Change Calender Time Zone" window
opened with a data file named "Personal Folders". After I clicked OK it
reported that "no appointments, meetings or reminders were found that need to
be moved to the new time zone". - and nothing happened.

Can someone please tell me what might be wrong. In the Change Calender Time
Zone is there another folder perhaps where the information is stored and how
can I find it.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Shortly.

I couldn't agree more. Outlook seems to have a flawed concept of as "all day
event". An "all day event" (such as a birthday) should stay as an all day
event on the stated day irrespective of timezone. An "all day event" is not
the same thing as a 24 hour event starting at midnight and ending at
midnight, although it is treated that way.

I travel a lot (and thus change timezones a lot) and this is a continual
source of frustration. The only solution I have come up with is to leave my
PC on my home timezone and convert trimes in my head when I travel.

Use Outlook's ability to show two timezones instead. Tools>Options>Calendar
Options>Time Zone>Show an additional time zone.
