outlook to windows mail

I have and external hard drive which contains recovered files from my old
dinosaur computer. It ran on XP after I upgraded from ME. I can easily
transfer docs/excel/ppoint, etc but I can't figure out how to get all my old
emails from their pst folders. Is there a way where I can copy them all into
my new Vista Windows Mail?
Thanks,
Eugenia

No you cannot
You either need to install Outlook on the Vista PC, connect your old data
file, then in Mail import data from Outlook.
Or you need to inlist the help of a friend who has outlook, and is willing
to connect your data file, and export that to Outlook Express, you can move
the Outlook Express msg store to your Vista PC and import in Mail
Or;
If you no longer have your Outlook cd, or your version was an OEM that wont
install on a new PC, then you could download the Office 2007 trial and use
Outlook in that
