Outlook so slow & slows down whole computer

Ever since I set up Outlook to recieve e-mails from my ISP account it has
been painfully slow (everything it does is slow). On top of this is slows
down my whole computer when it is open. I've changed the setting so it
doesn't automatically send/receive however this hasn't fixed the problem at
all.

Version of Outlook? What OS? Do you use a Dell computer? Do you also have
BCM installed?

Same problem over here! it's getting really really annoying!
we upgraded from 2003 to 2007, i want to say that it was a mistake! we have
had so many issues. it takes forever for some users to open up an email,
send, open a word document and an excel document.

as far as renaming/ deleted the .dat files, no good. the files didn't even
exist in their computers.
removed add-ins is only a temporary fix because once Microsoft does its
lovely update, they get stored back in.

Dell Optiplex (we don't all have the same computer but all are using Dell
Optiplex)


Microsoft, you guys are good and all but your response time with these
issues is HORRIBLE !!!
