outlook slow when attaching files to email

Whenever I start to drill down and try to attach a file in outlook 2k3 it
takes FOREVER to finally get to the folder where the file is I want to
attach.

This is a Dell LatitudeD520 running Windows XP SP3 and Office 2k3 SP3 with
all the updates from MS update website.

I have also done a chkdsk /r in recovery console thinking it may be file sys
corruption. I have also defraggged.

I dont expierence any other similiar issues like this outside of Outlook.
